16th Annual International Education Summit

Time Commitment: 12:00 – 1:00 (Lunch will be provided)

Location: NKU Ballroom

The International Education Summit (IES) is an annual program designed by the
World Affairs Council of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky with the goal to raise
student awareness around ongoing global topics and global careers.

This year’s theme is:

GLOCAL Climate Action for Your Future: Sustainable
Pathways to Education, Opportunities, and Careers

The Summit reaches several hundred local high school students ages 14-18 who
are interested in discovering more about the world. This year’s conference
theme was selected by the students. Through interactive sessions, they will learn
ways to expand their awareness related to sustainability, enhance their
understanding of local and global career pathways, and connect with local
professionals. (This is where we need YOU 😁)

Speed Networker Role

As a Speed Networker, you will have the opportunity to empower young people
by sharing your experiences and career trajectory.
Speed Networkers encourage students to:

• Broaden their global awareness
• Navigate a globalized world
• Bring a dynamic understanding of a global career or interests

During the hour, your role is to move from table to table to meet with students for
a total of about six times. This will include sharing for approximately 2-3 minutes
about global aspects of your life and career, and allowing 7-8 minutes for
students to ask questions.
