Refugee Connect ; Creating One Greater Cincinnati Community

May 23, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - May 24, 2018 @ 8:30 pm

Facing the threat of violence and persecution, this young woman and her family embarked on the difficult journey of securing refugee status and eventually settled in Cincinnati, where she and her siblings are currently pursuing higher education. Share in the rich culture of music and dance her family has brought with them from Burundi.
Hundreds of thousands of families from the central African nation of Burundi are fleeing violence, extrajudicial killings, abduction, torture, and persecution. Many Burundi refugees are children who arrive at camps unaccompanied and separated from their families.
