Global Education

Congratulations to the Academic WorldQuest winning team: Indian Hill High School. The school has been the three-time reigning champions of the competition. They’ll be headed to Washington D.C. to compete in the national competition and the team will be at the Council’s One World Gala & Global Trivia Competition. The students and teachers will be returning to the gala and are hoping to defend their title as the One World Gala champions and to prove once again their global wits against the community and business members!

Global Partners – THANK YOU!

Four visitors from Turkey came to the Greater Cincinnati area through the U.S. Department of Sate’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) entitled “STEM Education” to broaden the participants knowledge on STEM education centers that are a part of museums, to speak and network with STEM education curricula developers for museum, and to tour museums that have STEM education components to gain ideas how to implement programming at the Air Museum in Turkey.
Thank you to the National Museum of the United States Air Force, Geier Collection & Research Center, iSpace, Winton Woods High School, and DUKE Energy Children’s Museum for meeting with the delegation.

Seven visitors from Ukraine came to the area through the IVLP program on the topic of “The U.S. Experience in Supporting Military Veterans.” The participants were learning about local legislation that helps integrate veterans into the local economy, exploring best practices for programs related to rehabilitation and health services for war veterans, and to examine current approaches to cooperation with non-governmental veteran-support organizations.
Thank you to the Hamilton County Municipal Veterans Court, the Office of Senator Rob Portman, University of Cincinnati Veterans Program, City of Cincinnati/Mayor of Cincinnati’s staff, and the Clermont County Veterans Service Commission for meeting with the delegation!
