World Affairs Council Hosts 11th Successful Annual One World Gala
The World Affairs Council – Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky held its annual One World Gala & Global Trivia Competition at The Transept on April 12th. More than 185 people attended this black-tie optional event that raised funds for student success in the global arena for the local region. Funds go directly towards supporting opportunities for over 9,600 local students to have global opportunities at low or no cost to create a better future for them.
It was an honor to have Kyle Inskeep from Local 12 join as the event’s emcee for the second year in a row to keep up the energy and fun throughout the evening while attendees enjoyed the silent auction, Golden Ticket raffle, and pledged donations. World Affairs Council was able to raise over $85,500 that will go directly towards support students’ global programming that builds the next generation of leaders for our community, our state, our nation, and our world. We’d like to thank our sponsors, our Board of Directors, our Advisory Groups who gave at record levels this year, our Gala committee who worked tirelessly to create a unique and engaging auction and overall event experience, Asa Deshmukh, who rose to the challenge of Gala Chair, the staff of the World Affairs Council, and the many volunteers who helped set up and staff the event.
