Welcome Stephanie and Cassidy: Gaining Student Perspectives on the International Education Summit

We are so excited to welcome two Cincinnati students, Stephanie and Cassidy, as part of our planning team for the 19th Annual International Education Summit. Stephanie and Cassidy will contribute meaningful input on event programming, providing the youth perspective needed to make this year even more impactful. We are honored they chose to work with us for their Capstone project and look forward to what we create together!
About Stephanie:
Stephanie Espinoza-Ruiz is a senior at Winton Woods High School. She is part of a class called the Academy of Global Studies (AGS), where she has to either create or be a part of a capstone project focusing on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). For her project, she is helping plan the International Education Summit. Stephanie wanted her project to directly benefit her community, hence her decision to work on the event. It will teach the younger generation how to think about problems globally, acting on them locally. She hopes to generate ideas with the rest of the team to create a memorable learning experience for the local community.
Outside of school, Stephanie works at Graeter’s (her favorite flavor is Cookie Dough Chip). She has 3 siblings (one with a 16 year gap!) and 3 pets: two dogs and a cat. After she graduates, Stephanie hopes to attend a college with a good engineering program and major in Civil Engineering.
About Cassidy:
Cassidy is a senior at Winton Woods high school. She is also a part of the Academy of Global Studies where she learns about the UN Sustainable Development Goals, achieving a global perspective. Her senior capstone project is planning the International Education Summit (IES), where she will be giving feedback and programming ideas for this year’s event. Cassidy has attended IES for the last two years and had a wonderful time, thus adding a former attendee perspective. It was also her first college tour and networking experience.
Outside of school, Cassidy plays tennis and works at Graeter’s alongside Stephanie (her favorite flavor is Mocha Chip, but it changes every week). She has two cats named Eve and Willow. After she graduates she will most likely major in biology, or a related field, in hopes of becoming an ophthalmologist.
