Young Professionals Ice Cream Social Raises Money for Council

On Thursday, July 23, the Young Professionals Advisory Group hosted a networking and fundraising event at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams at Factory 52. The gathering brought together a diverse group of local professionals, board members, staff, and several community members who were joining us for the first time. To mark the occasion, the staff at Jeni’s created a custom sundae called “The Diplomat’s Delight,” combining Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and Biscuits with Sweet Peach Jam.
With great weather and a nearby farmers market driving foot traffic, the event saw a fantastic turnout. Jeni’s generously donated 25% of all proceeds between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to our mission, bringing total sales during those hours to $1,169.50 and raising $292.38 for the World Affairs Council.
We are so grateful to everyone who stopped by to connect and support the council. Special thanks go to YP Board Chair Morgan Miller for organizing the event, as well as the YP Group for helping spread the word. Thank you to everyone who joined. Thank you to Summermusik, Lingo Mix, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for joining us. Thank you to the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce for promoting the event, which brought in a few new friendly faces.
