Roots & Rhythm Fundraising Event and Cultural Celebration

This past Saturday, August 29th, local families gathered for Roots & Rhythms, a vibrant fundraiser that celebrated the Indian culture here in Cincinnati and raised funds for global education.

President & CEO, Michelle Glandorf, and Programs Associate, Azalea Laverde, at their booth.
Coordinated by board member Mrudula Jillella, the evening was packed. From various dance troupes and fashion shows to a collection of local vendors along the walls of the gymnasium. Amongst these food vendors, jewelers, clothing designers, and financial services was the World Affairs Council! Hosting a booth connected us to the residents outside the core metropolitan area, where we discussed our mission and global education opportunities.
The event drew over 200 attendees made up of friends and families alike. Because of this event, World Affairs Council deepened the awareness of our mission while raising funds for our global education programs.
Roots & Rhythms would not have been possible without Mrudula’s vision and leadership, along with the dedicated support of every sponsor, donor, and attendee. Thank you for helping the World Affairs Council bridge cultures and empower global understanding.
