Manny Addo
Natural Shea Care
Manny is the CEO of Natural Shea Care, a black-owned, natural beauty care company with a mission of supporting and empowering women in Ghana. Currently, the products are available at Kroger, Jungle Jim’s International Market, Target.com, and Amazon.
He is also the CEO of Africa America Business Promotion, launching the first Africa America Trade and Investment Summit in 2018, with Ghana’s Minister of Trade, Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States, and Fortune 500 CEOs in attendance.
Julia Brossart
Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments
As the Communications and Legislative Affairs Manager at the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments (www.oki.org), Julia works with hundreds of elected officials and stakeholders across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky’s eight-county region on transportation investment and planning.
Prior to OKI, Julia was CEO of the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA) for 20-years working with the top elected officials of the 50 states. At NLGA, Julia planned and staffed exchanges to China, Germany, Taiwan and Mexico and worked with Embassies from across the world.
Ken Gunkel
Pleasantly Retired
Ken is the pleasantly retired Former Owner of Tandem Marketing Services. His career began working for Cincinnati Bell (now Altafiber). While working, he attended night classes at Northern Kentucky University and was in the first graduating class. He also earned an MBA in Marketing from Xavier University. When he left the corporate world he started Tandem Marketing Services, a successful business-to-business advertising agency that he sold.
During his career he served on numerous nonprofit boards including the International Visitors Council, Friends of Steely Library at NKU, & the Dearborn County Soil & Water Conservation District. Now he is honored to be on the board of the World Affairs Council of Cincinnati. Ken & his lovely wife, Laura, have 6 children & live in a rural area of Southeastern Indiana.
This new cohort of board members represents the next generation of global leadership in our region. We are honored to welcome Manny, Julia, and Ken to the World Affairs Council family. Their vision and service will help advance our mission to build global awareness, education, and connection across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
