What is the World Affairs Council’s mission?

The World Affairs Council is the bridge that connects the world to one of America’s most vibrant regions of individuals and organizations. Through global education, international exchange and cultural awareness initiatives, the council strengthens Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky’s international identity and engages individuals with foreign affairs.

Can I join the events if I am not in OH or KY?

This year’s event will only be in person; however, there will be an online auction and raffle which is how you may support if you are unable to join us at the event. You can also consider supporting with a donation to enrich student success through global learning opportunities.

What is the gala all about?

Join us for the World Affairs Council’s 11th annual One World Gala & Global Trivia Competition that promises an exciting evening global connections and a fun game of international trivia! Together, we can showcase the region’s commitment to preparing our students to be globally competent in the 21st century global environment.

It is a celebration of curiosity for greater global awareness and cultural understanding. The World Affairs Council is committed to engaging more youths and community members in global events and activities, one step at a time. We’ve got a phenomenal evening planned you!

How much does it cost to attend?

We have 2 ticket prices – ticket for couples (discounted) and ticket for individuals.

Tickets ($380 per couple and $200 per individual) includes a 3-course seated dinner with 2 drink tickets, the program and, trivia. We also have many ways that you can consider supporting as a sponsor, auction, and raffles.

For the trivia game, how do I register if I have a team?

1. Get your team together. You can have up to 10 players per team.
2. Once you have your players, make sure you have full names and emails if joining us for dinner.
3. Don’t forget to also decide on a team name and leader!

For the trivia game, do I have to register as a team? Do I have to play trivia if I sign up?

No. Only you, join us too! You don’t need a team to play! Heck, you can just observe and have a fun night with us. We will place you with a team if you would like to play.
