  • Provide an overview of U.S. policies at the federal, state, and local levels that drive innovation in clean energy;
  • Explore how supply diversification can increase geopolitical stability, reduce potential malign influence, and contribute to resilience;
  • Explore innovations in renewable energy and in the energy grid from economic, environmental, and security purposes;
  • Study how the development and installation of alternative energy technologies can provide employment and economic opportunity for marginalized communities;
  • Examine how renewable energy innovation hubs and clean energy accelerators serve as economic drivers; and 
  • Examine the role of universities and think tanks in incubating new technologies, including technology transfer from academic to business applications.
