In June, we hosted a delegation from Bangladesh, Kiribati, India, Malaysia, Maldives, Philippines, and Taiwan. They were here to learn about:

  • How to examine the best practices in emergency preparedness, management, planning, and coordination among federal, state, and local government and the private sector;
  • Discuss how various stakeholders anticipate and develop contingency plans for natural disasters, pandemics, technological hazards, and/or terrorism threats;
  • Review the recruitment, training, leadership development, and funding for paid professionals and volunteer-based Emergency Management Service (EMS) personnel;
  • Explore public-private partnerships and programs that help communities heal from the trauma of disasters by offering leadership, restoring hope, and strengthening recovery plans.

One of the organizations the group met with the Cincinnati-based Health Collaborative during their most recent 2024 Active Threat Tabletop Exercise (TTX)! Thank you so much to The Health Collaborative for taking time to meet with us!
