December 1 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

What did the tea that sparked a revolution actually taste like? And what did Americans drink when tea became a symbol of British rule?
Step back in time to December 1773 and experience the remarkable story of the Boston Tea Party through your senses! In partnership with Churchill’s Fine Teas and in celebration of America250, join us for an exclusive guided tasting that brings history to life, one sip at a time.
Discover three historic teas connected to the teas cast into Boston Harbor—Young Dragon Hyson Green Tea, Wu Yi Shan Rock Oolong, and Lapsang Souchong Black Tea. Explore their fascinating origins, distinctive flavors, and the global trade that brought these prized leaves to colonial America.
Then, follow the story of American resistance as colonists turned to locally available herbs, flowers, and fruits to create Liberty Tea, a symbol of independence and self-reliance. Experience this spirit through two Churchill’s herbal blends: Morning Meadows (in house artisan blend) and our popular Strawberry Lemonade, inspired by the Herbal Tea Movement that followed the Boston Tea Party Event.
Throughout this journey, enjoy five thoughtfully paired, colonial-inspired light bites, featuring sweet and savory flavors that reflect the ingredients and food traditions of early America.
Five teas. Five light bites. One extraordinary story of revolution and liberty.
Sip, savor, and discover how a simple cup of tea became part of the movement that changed a nation forever.
This is a guided tea tasting with five small food pairings, not a full breakfast or brunch.
