DESCRIPTION:Delegates are from Belize\, Jordan\, Kazakhstan\, Montenegro\, Poland\, Republic of North Macedonia\, Morocco\, Sri Lanka\, Suriname\, Tunisia\, Uganda. \n\nPROFESSIONAL OBJECTIVES \nThe Department of State has outlined the following specific objectives for the project: \n\nEnhance understanding of ethical systems for accountability and transparency in government in the United States;\nExplore the role of citizens\, traditional and new media\, academia\, and civil society in fostering transparency and accountability in government\, including highlighting the mechanisms that enable citizens to foster good governance\, ethical standards\, and accountability at the local\, state\, and federal levels.\nExamine the effect of transparency on trade\, investment\, and economic development; and\nAddress international efforts to strengthen the integrity of governments.
