Cincinnati Public Radio includes two stations, WVXU and WGUC, reaching a combined weekly audience of more than 320,000 listeners. WVXU is the local NPR affiliate, carrying news and public information/entertainment. NPR now has more foreign bureaus than any other major US broadcast company, creating a rich, global perspective on the news. WVXU also carries programming from the BBC World Service. For seventy years, the BBC has been the globe’s most comprehensive source for news. The World, on WVXU, is a one hour weekday evening program from Public Radio International (PRI), and the first global radio news program developed specifically for U.S. audiences. WVXU programming also in broadcast via WMUB in Oxford under a management agreement with Miami University. WGUC is rated as the top performing classical music station in the country, and regularly broadcasts performances from leading symphonies and Opera companies world wide.
