Biography

Florine Postell’s experiences have built a strong knowledge base of cross-cultural communications, cultural competence, and international protocol. She served on the protocol committees for both the World Equestrian Games in Lexington, KY and the World Choir Games in Cincinnati. She served on the national board for six years of a protocol association dedicated to the practice and exchange of information regarding  international, diplomatic, sport, military, and  government protocol and has an extensive network of protocol contacts around the country and globe. Florine has conducted classes on international protocol and etiquette courses for pre-professional and professional audiences, and is a go-to resource for internationally focused events that require ceremonies and flags. Since 2002 she has been a member of Protocol Diplomacy International-Protocol Officers Association.

Ms. Postell has been at the University of Cincinnati since 2005. She has extensive event planning, conference management, and training experience both at the university and within the community. Prior to joining UC, she served eight years as the professional staff manager for Sister Cities Association of Greater Cincinnati and official liaison with City Hall and three years international marketing experience in the department of Economic Development at the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Postell was born in Austria and has led a professional life stimulated with international experiences and focus, from earning a degree in International Trade to contributing to high profile global events.
