International Education Summit 2024

We are proud to announce the 18th Annual International Education Summit which will be held December 5th at Northern Kentucky University. This year’s theme is:

Youth Empowerment

 

Keynote Speaker: Jaeydah Edwards

An environmental enthusiast, Jaeydah Edwards is the Senior Program Director at Groundwork Ohio River Valley, where she connects Cincinnati residents to their local environments through various community engagement events. A majority of her work focuses on educating both youth and adults on air pollution hazards and how to operate air quality monitors, as well as projects on water quality, green infrastructure and environmental justice. Jaeydah is a 2023 North American Association for Environmental Education CEE-Change Fellow, as well as a 2024 Cincinnati Fobes 30 under 30 lister.

Ready to discover skills you can use in real life? Join us for hands-on workshops and meet local leaders at our Career Fair. If you’re a teacher or high school student interested in global perspectives, this event is for you!

The International Education Summit (IES) is an annual program designed by the World Affairs Council of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky with the goal to raise high school students’ awareness around ongoing global topics and global careers.

  • Network with local leaders at the Career Fair  and Speed Networking  
  • Want a head start in your education or career as a high school student? This is the event for you!
